Quantico, Virginia was the destination for Marine Corps 2nd Lieutenants and 1st Lieutenants in June 1966, for "The Basic School". Almost all newly graduated and commissioned, we knew it would be an interesting and possibly difficult 21-week experience before our "real" active duty assignments. Our group was Alpha ("A") Company. Reunions for 2011, 45th anniversary of both Alpha and Bravo Companies; Bulletins #44 and 45 Bulletin #45 also included news of the Alpha Company Reunion, May 11-15, 2011 in Fredericksburg, VA.
